We are currently seeking an experienced oncology nurse to join our client a leading private hospital group in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive nursing care, including administering chemotherapy, monitoring vital signs, managing symptoms, and supporting patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Manage symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout their cancer journey
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Document patient care in electronic medical records accurately
Requirements:
- Active NMBI registration on General Nursing Division
- Minimum of three years of oncology nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills
